¿.1
Nearly 30 years ago on a sweltering August
day in Washington, D.C., Martin Luther King, Jr.
stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and
electrified the world with one of the greatest
speeches ever given. That day Dr. King offered
not complex philosophies, but a simple ideal:
equality equals freedom.
The Oregon Department of Transportation
is committed to that ideal. We provide leadership
in assuring equal employment opportunities and
a work environment that is discrimination-free.
We respect individual differences and human
dignity.
