and Stores, Room 1313, Portland Building, 1120 SW Fifth Ave.,
Portland. OR 97204 for the (Com m odities), (Equipm ent),
(Projects) detailed below until 2:00 P.M. on the dates indicated.

Unless otherwise stated in the individual proposals listed herein,
no proposal or bid will be considered unless accom panied by a
bid surety for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the
aggregate amount of the proposal.
The City encourages bidding by MBEs and FBEs and will assist
such firm s to understand and participate in formal bidding
processes.

Services
The University of Oregon is requesting proposals from Con­
struction Management/General Contracting firms interested in
providing CM/GC services for the 18th and Agate site of the
Student Housing Project. Briefly, the project includes 20 new
housing units and associated site work on a site on Agate
Street in Eugene.
The selection of the CM/GC will be made in accordance with
OAR 135-310-026, and will include interviews with finalists
selected on the basis of their written proposals.
The deadline for proposals is Friday, December 18, 1992.

A license for asbestos work under ORS 468A.720 is not required
for this work.
Proposals may be rejected if not in compliance with specified
procedures and requirements. Any or all proposals may be
rejected if in the public interest to do so.

The Metropolitan Service District (Metro) solicits written propos­
als for financial advisor services for Metro for a period of three
¿31 vears. Proposals are due (postmarks not accepted) until
5 00 p.m., Monday, January 4,1993, at Metro, 2000 S.W. First

Sealed bids will be received at the Housing Authority of Portland
(HAP), 8910 N. W oolsey Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97203, until
2:00 p.m., P. (S). T., Tuesday, January 19,1993 for labor and
materials to'make site and dwelling improvements at an existing
apartment project. Shortly thereafter, bids will be opened and
publicly read. Interested parties are welcome to attend.
The basic work consists of concrete sidewalks, asphalt overlay
paving, site lighting, metal siding, metal roofing, fencing, storage
sheds, stair treads, vertical blinds and door replacement at
Lexington Court Apartments, 7858-7898 S.E. 72nd Ave, Port­
land, Oregon 97206.
Interested bidders may obtain one set of bid documents at the
HAP Maintenance Office, noted above, upon receipt of $50
(fifty) deposit, which is refundable when documents are returned
in good condition within 10 days after bid opening. Additional
sets may be acquired for a $20 (twenty) non-refundable fee.
A HAP representative will conduct a pre-bid tour of the project
commencing atth e HAP Maintenance Office, address above, at
10 00 a.m., P. (S). T „ Tuesday, January 5, 1993, and the
attendance of bidders is requested. An orientation will be given
prior to moving to other project sites. Questions posed during the
tour, when not addressed in the Contract Documents, will be
answered by addendum and mailed to all bidders.
Attention is called to the provisions in “Supplemental Instruc­
tio n s to B id d e rs ” regarding MBE participation and “Special
C o n d itio n s ', Division “H”, regarding Equal Employment Oppor­
tunity, EEO compliance reports, certification of non-segregated
facilities and a waiver from enforcing the payment of non-federal
prevailing wages when said wages, exclusive of any fringe
benefits, exceeds the applicable wage rate determined by the
Secretary of HUD. Minimum salaries and wages as set forth in
the specification shall be paid on this project.
A bid security of 5% of the bid is required as prescribed in the

No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for opening
thereof until after the lapse of sixty (60) days from the bid
opening.
The Housing Authority of Portland may reject any bid not in
compliance with the prescribed bidding procedures and require­
ments and may reject any or all bids and waive all informalities
if, in the judgem ent of HAP, it is in the public interest to do so.
