Its a fact. As California’s population
has changed, we’ve consistently bought
more goods and services from qualified
minority and women-owned businesses.
In 1990, we hired over half of the minority
and women-owned businesses that applied
for PG&.E contracts.
But we’d like to sec even more of these
organizations play a key role in our economy.
If your business is minority or women-
owned, we’d like to talk to you. Call our
Equal Opportunity Purchasing Program
at 1-800-776-EOPP to see how you can put
in a competitive bid.

Lets Work Together
I’m John Olive,I grew up in this
area along with family, brother and
sister. I’m a business owner and I would
like to see more of us doing the same.
I have a tremendous concern about
our society, our community, our fami
lies, our selves.
Our society is on the verge and has
been the verge of phenomenal charge
economically since the early sixties.
We moved from the predominately
Agricultural-Industrial to now the ris
ing information/service society. Many
technological happenings in the 80s
has put our society on a course which
will streamline the way we do business
in the future, many of the traditional
ways of doing business will no longer
be effective and those seeking to hang
on the past without growing may dis
cover this rude awakening to late. While
doors are closing along with tradi
tional ways of doing business, new
doors are opening up in other areas
offering tremendous business opportu
nities not only to the individual but to
every day family people of all nation
alities.
The primary difference with the
new opportunities as compared to the
old job attitude is that the new will not
guarantee income based on punching
the clock but rather on performance and
personal growth and ones ability to
help train others to be the best they can
be. Through such opportunity people
will be able to develop greater self
esteem and help others to do the same.
Like the growth of franchising in
the past 30 years the new way of doing
business will give dedicated people
who are open to learn, an opportunity of
earning franchise income with out fu
ture investment.
A minimum investment, especially
if people are committed to help develop
others.
While many people are still look
ing for jobs security, we may find that
job security is only a past word. There
is really no job security in todays job
market but there are several opportuni
ties opening up for people who want to
develop themselves to be the best they
can be and help others to do the same,
last, there are several corporations
offering phenomenal opportunities
(part-time) for people who want more
out of life and who are willing to work
with others who do also. 3 to 5 hours a
week of training to get the information
required is generally whats needed to
get started.
I would like to share this informa
tion with people who are tired of the of
the rhetoric of people saying that we
should work together. I work with
people who want to and will work
together for this reality. It’s time that
we do more of it. It may depend upon
our survival/existence as a country, as
a community, as family.
Lets work together. Corporations
are paying people who can bring people
together to do just that. If you have the
desire to find out more about this and
get rewarded for helping to bring out
the best in others and get rewarded for
doing it. Contact me or attend our next
information session about improving
your economic status working to help
others 3 to 5 weeks.
