V anessa Selden’s 18 points made her
lead scorer for Chevy Comer.
In the second game, Tire H ead
quarters kept Dr. Flowers from a lie for
first place by handing Dr. Flowers a
w inning bill o f 64-61. Miriam Jenkins
and Sandra Howell each scored 14 points
to lead TH I, while Dr. Flow ers’ Laurie
N orthrop also tossed in 14 points.
Dr. Flowers was in the winner’s
seat on Thursday, July 30, as they de
feated Ram Light Truck Salvage 54-47.
Laurie N orthrop again took the scoring
honors as she scored 17 points. The w in
locked up the second spot in the play
offs for Dr. Flowers.
In the 7:30 p.m . gam e, Sarah
Christensen scored 19 points as Chevy
C om er look the number three spot in
the playoffs with a 80-65 win over
Oregon Nail Distributors.

The last week of play in the Port
land M en’s Pro-Am ended as it started
for the Lakers - without a loss. The
Lakers, behind Mark H esse’s 28 points
and Kevin W illiam s’ 24 points, scored
an easy 118-94 win over the Knicks to
go 12-0, heading into this w eek’s play
offs. Robert Key led the Knicks with 28
points.
The Hawks finished second after
two wins this week. The first victory
was derived from the W arriors with a
final score of 118-102, with “AU-Ev-
crything” Phil Hopson scoring 29 points
and Ronald Holley tossing in 23 points.
In the second win, Hawker Hopson’s 24
points aided in defeating the Spurs 103-
95. Tony Hampton added 18 in his all
round floor play.
Larry J ury led the W arriors in scor
ing this week with 31 and 26 points. His
26 points led to a win over the Celts 76-
73, and put the Cells out of the playoffs.
The Knicks earned the last spot in
the playoffs with a 97-95 victory over
the Spurs. Delon Phoenix’s 28 points
and Robert Key ’s 27 points led the w ay.
