Notice is hereby given that the City of Oregon City through its City
Commissioners, will open scaled bids at 2:00 p.m., June 11,1992
in the City Hall Conference Room, City of Oregon City, 320
W arner Milne Road, Oregon City, Oregon for furnishing and
installing the HOPP Sanitary Sewer Collection System as per Bid
Documents available for a $50.00 fee per set at the office of the
engineer:

The work consists of two scheduled which may be awarded
separately. Schedule "A” consists of 38,000 feet of 8-inch to 18-
inch sanitary sewer collection pipe, including a boring under
Highway I-205 and the Southern Pacific Railroad. Schedule “B"
consists of 10,200 feet of 8-inch and 10-inch sanitary sewer
collection pipe.
Bids received after the above time will not be considered.

Services Building at 617 S. W. Montgomery, Portland State
University, Portland, Oregon, on June 10, 1992, at 3:00 p.m.,
PDT. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the under
signed or his designated representative at 3:00 p.m., PD i, on
June 11,1992, in Room 202E, 617 S. W Montgomery Portland.
Sealed bids will be received by Mr.. Don Tank, Superintendent,
Clackamas County School District No. 62, until 2:00 p.m., PDT,
on Tuesday, June 2, 1992, for the repair of Oregon City High
School grandstand roof, in Oregon City, Oregon. Proposals will
be in the form of a lump sum for all work described below. Bids
will be opened and publicly read aloud in the office of the
Superintendent, located at 1417 12th Street, Oregon City.
Oregon 97045. Bids received after said time for opening will not
be considered.
Briefly, the W ork consists of removal and replacement of one
damaged Glu-lam beam and a complete re-roof with new built-
up roofing.
Bidding Documents describing the contractual requirements,
material specifications, physical characteristics of the W ork and
the method for submitting bids in detail are ready for inspection.
Bidding documents may be obtained by prime bidders at
Söderström Architects, P.C., located at 1200 N. W. Front
Avenue, Suite 410, Portland, Oregon 97209, telephone 503/
228-5617, upon deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00). Deposits will be
returned to unsuccessful bidders upon return of sets in unmarked
and good condition to the Architect’s office within ten (10) days
after receipt of bids.

Sealed bids are to be sent to Neal Robinson, Project Manager,
City of Oregon City, 320 W arner Milne Road, Oregon City, Oregon
97045, and no bid will be received or considered by the City
Commission unless the bid contains a statement by the bidder as
part of his bid that the provisions of ORS 279.350 shall be
complied with.
Bidders must be prequalified with the Department of Transporta
tion or General Service per ORS 279.047 to perform the type and
size of work contemplated herein and shall subm it such evidence
prior to bid opening. The City will investigate and determine the
qualifications of the apparent low bidder prior to awarding the
contract.
Each bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is a
resident bidder, as defined in ORS 279.029. Per ORS 279.029 in
determining the lowest responsible bidder, the City shall add a
percent increase on the bid of a nonresident bidder equal to the
percent, if any, of the preference given to that bidder in the State

The City Commission reserves the right to reject any bid not in
compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and
requirements, and may reject all bids if in its judgm ent it is in the
public interest to do so.

Bidders are reminded of the fact that public funds will be used
for this W ork and, therefore, certain provisions of the Oregon
Revised Statutes must be observed, among which is law (ORS
279-350) Pertaining to prevailing wage rates as provided by the
State Bureau of Labor.
Bids shall be made out on official forms (a sample of which may
be found in the Bidding Documents), and shall be accompanied
by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond payable to
Clackamas County School District No. 62, in the amount equal
to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. Such
bid security constitutes liquidated damages for the Owner,
should the apparent low bidder fail to execute in favor of
Clackamas County School District No. 62.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance
bond and a labor and materials paym ent bond, each in the
amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount,
and executed in favor of Clackamas County School District No.

person a public hearing will be held by the Tri-County Metropoli
tan Transportation District of Oregon(Tri-Met) at 3:30 P.M.,
Wednesday, May 27, 1992 at the Portland Building, 1120 SW

considering projects for which capital assistance under the
State's Small City and Rural Area Transit Assistance (Section

This project is in conformance with comprehensive land use and
transportation planning in the area.
A statement of Tri-Met’s charter bus service is available for
inspection at the Tri-Met Administration offices.
Tri-Met will not be engaging in school bus operations.
Private transportation enterprise will not be directly affected by
this project.
At the hearing, Tri-Met will afford opportunity for interested
persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social,
economic and environmental aspects of the project.
