The reprographics department of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oregon,
a major health insurance company is accepting applications for a swing
shift press operator.
Qualified candidates must have 1 year work experience on the Heidle-
berg Tok Offset press. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Prequalification submittals will be received by Gregory E. DiLoreto,
Director of Department of Environmental Services, for the City of
Gresham, Oregon (OWNER) at 1333 N.W. Eastman Parkway,
Gresham, Oregon 97030, until 2:00 P.M., local time on January
23,199 1.
The proposed Work provides for the furnishing, delivery, and
installation of two mechanically-cleaned bar screens for the
Gresham W astewater Treatment Plant located near the inter­
section of Sandy Boulevard and Northeast 201 st Avenue in the
City of Gresham, Oregon. The W ork will include removal of the
two existing bar screens with all appurtenances, an installation
check, startup, adjustment, and training services.
All submittals must be in accordance with the Bar Screen
Prequalification Solicitation documents on file at the office of
Black & Veatch, 5000 S.W. Meadows Road, Suite 131, Lake
Oswego, OR 97035.
Copies of Solicitation Documents for use in preparing submittals
may be obtained from the Engineers-Architects at the address
stipulated above at a charge of $20.00 for the first set and $10.00
for each additional set. No refunds will be made.
When the W ork is bid, prequalification of Bidders will be re­
quired. Bids received from Bidders who are not prequalified will
not be opened.
The successful Contractor and all Subcontractors will be re­
quired to conform to the labor standards set forth in the Contract
Documents.
Prequalified suppliers on this Work will be required to comply
with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Copeland
(Anti-Kickback) Act, as indicated in the Contract Documents,
Prequalified suppliers on the Work will be required to comply
with the President’s Executive Order 11246 of September 24,1965,
as amended. The requirements for Contractors under this order
will be indicated in the Contract Documents.
Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation to
Prequalify are expected to be funded in part by a grant from the
United States Environmental Protection Agency. Neither the
United States nor any of its departments, agencies, or employ­
ees is or will be a party to this Invitation to Prequalify or any
resulting contract. Procurement will be subject to regulations
contained in 40 CFR Part 33. These regulations will be con­
tained in the Contract Documents.
The Owner reserves the right to reject all Prequalifications
submittals, to waive informalities and to reject nonconforming,
nonresponsive, or conditional Prequalification submittals.

Conceptual Engineering
Holman Redevelopment Area
The Portland Development Commission is soliciting proposals
from firms interested in Conceptual Engineering - Holman Rede­
velopm ent Area. Firms who respond to this Request for Proposal
should have experience in this area of work and be prepared to
include in their proposal evidence thereof. Respondents may be
interviewed as called for in this RFP.
Consultants shall investigate the existing development and infra­
structure and present a plan for complete development of the site
that provides for future infrastructure to accommodate the issues
described in further detail in this RFP. This work is conceptual in
nature, but must be complete enough to permit the consultant a
basis for computation of quantities, costs, and schedules of the
major elements involved.
