The M e tro p o lita n Service D is tric t

appointee w ill f i l l the unexpired term
o f M ichael V ernon, w h o resigned in

The seven-m em ber com m ittee,
established in 1987, makes recom m en­
dations how to spend the money gener­
ated fro m a 50-cent-per-ton surcharge
on disposal o f garbage at the St. Johns
L a n d fill. The ne xt round o f fundings
begins in the spring.
