to fill the current vacancy and
develop a list for future vacan­
cies throughout the state. Sub­

Forester is responsible for pro­
viding supervision, planning, and
administration of land manage­
ment activities on State Forest
land within the unit. This position
is expected to have initiative,
recognize and evaluate problems,
develop solutions, and manage
an effective and efficient organi­
zation. Qualifications are: two
years of forestry experience in
technical and professional for­
estry practice such as forest
engineering; cruising timber in­
cluding cruise design; participa­
tion in fire presuppression and
suppression activities; harvest­
ing timber; reforestation; inspect­
ing logging operations; or pro­
viding forestry advice to private
woodland owners. One year of
this experience must include
responsibility for directing the work
of others involved in forestry-re­
lated activities; and a Bachelor's
degree in forestry or related field
(such as Wildlife Management,
Biology, Botany, Plant Pathol­
ogy, Forest Engineering, Civil En­
gineering), or three more years
of pertinent experience.
