Electrical. To provide electrical, technical, and inspection skills for the
construction of new facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Providing on-site inspection of electrical work.
2. Assisting with nonelectrical inspection as requested.
3. Keeping as-built drawings up to date.
4. Verifying proper licensing and registration of electrical contractors.
5. Providing interdepartmental support.
6. Reviewing projects prior to bidding.
Minimum requirements:
•
Must have Unlimited Supervisor’s license with the state of Oregon and
meet State continuing educational requirements.
•
Valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license OR ability to obtain a
driver’s license within 60 days.
•
Possess a Level “A ” Electrical Inspectors license.
Education and Experience Preferred:
•
Experience as an electrical inspector which includes inspection of
special equipment and machinery which has not been listed by a
testing laboratory.
•
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering, construction of
electrical engineering, construction of electrical work, their terminol­
ogy, and standard practices.
•
Demonstrated knowledge of city, states, and national electrical codes.
•
Practical experience in commercial and industrial building construction
methods, industrial electrical equipment, machinery, and their code
requirements.
In addition to a starting salary range of $31,601 to $47,562 per year, com­
mensurate with experience, the Port offers a comprehensive benefit
package.
