Smooth and easy, with a pleasing aftertaste that gently caresses the tas- tebuds, Jo n ’s new album frames the m agnificence o f this rare performer. His warm rhythm ical lyrics and m elo dies reflect the essence of his native St. Thom as, where, as a young boy, he learned the musical skills o f his father, Eric, an accom plished classical guitar ist, and his mother, Eloise, a singer. His distinctive voice has been fea tured in over a dozen television and radio commercial endorsements includ ing: Air Jam aica, Almond Joy, Burger King, D iet Seven Up, Exxon and U.S. Virgin Islands. Now after a self-im posed hiatus lasting alm ost a decade, Jon Lucien, the man whose seductive tenor-bari tone vocals put the quiet in the storm, is back with ‘ ‘LISTEN L O V E ” which he produced and wrote. Jon also utilized the rem arkable talents o f Jeff Lorber to produce tw o o f the cuts. W ith such rhythm ically sensual ro mantic songs like: “ Sw eet C ontrol” , “ Nothing Lasts Forever” , Listen Love” , and “ You Take My Breath A w ay” , there’s no doubt that this new album will place Jon Lucien back in the fore front o f them usic scene. “ Ic a n ’tle tth e fear o f musical barriers hinder m e” , he adds, summing it all up. “ Because in the final analysis it’s humans that are listening and they’re going to make their own choices.” .
