The City of Clarkston, Washington invites bids for the construction of the W astewa­
ter Treatment Plant Upgrade -1991. The work includes, but is not limited to, new
aeration basin, new secondary clarifier, new blower/pump building, new headworks
building, new dewatering building, new sludge drying beds, landscape and irriga­
tion system, and rehabilitation of other existing structures. The mechanical equip­
ment includes, but is not limited to, new aeration blowers, sewage pumps, rotating
screen, sludge belt filter press, various miscellaneous pumping equipment, yard
piping and valves.

Unsuccessful bidders will have their security refunded to them when the contract

RECIPROCAL PREFERENCE LAW: In compliance with ORS 279.029, bidders
must state on their proposal whether they are a resident or non-resident bidder. Pro­
posals that fail to provide this information will be considered nori-responsive.
The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities and
of postponing the award of the contract for th irty (30) days. Price quoted shall be firm
for a period of 30 days after the closing date.
The attention of bidders is directed to the provisions of Chapter 97, Salem Revised
Code, concerning unlawful employment practices. Violation of such provisions shall
be grounds for immediate termination of this contract without recourse by the con­

execution of a Level 2 Environmental Investigation of the North Downtown Devel­

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Goldendale at City Hall, 1103 S. Colum­
bus Avenue, Goldendale, Washington 98620 until 2:00 pm, PST, on the 12th day
of March 1991, at which time bids will be publicly opened, for the Phase 2 Water
and Sewer Project. Bids received after this time cannot be considered.
The work includes installaiton and replacement of approximately 2100 feet of 4",
6" and 8" water lines, 38 gate valves, 21 new fire hydrants, water service lines and
1,360 feet of 4" and 8" sewer lines, sewer manholes, surface restoration and other
related work in the City of Goldendale, and is partially funded by a Public Works
Trust Loan administered through the Washington State Department of Community
