Rev. Arnold C. Fauria
The Rev. Arnold C. Fauria (1916-
1991), after a brief illness, died January
7,1991 at Emanuel Hospital & Health
Care Center.
Rev. Fauria (Beansy) to old friends,
was associate paster of the 1st AME
Zion Church of Portland, Oregon.
Rev. Fauria is survived by his wife,
Kathleen Bryant Fauria, six children of
that union, five grandgrand children
and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the
1st AME Zion Church, 109 N. Skid­
more St. on Friday, January 11, 1991,
the internment will be held at Willam­
ette National Cemetery.

Search for Mature Model
In Fifth Annual Dove Classic Model Discovery Contest

ham, 35, of Portland
Oregon, has been
named grand prize
winner in the Fifth
Annual Dove Clas­
sic Model discov­
ery search for a
woman over 30 to
launch into a pro­
fessional modeling
career.
Ms. Wyndham
wins a $25,000 cash
prize, a one-year
modeling contract
with New York’s
Elite Model man­
agem ent and a
$5,000 Anne Klein
wardrobe.
A mother of two boys and a former police officer, Ms. Wyndham was se­
lected from more than 8,000 women who entered the model search. Named a re­
gional winner in October, she competed with five other regional winners at a
judging competition in New York during a four-day, all-expenses paid trip that
was awarded as part of the prize.
While in New York, Ms. Wyndham was photographed for a feature article
to appear in the March 1991 issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, co-sponsor of the
contest with Dove Beauty Bar. Wyndham maintains her model-beautiful appear­
ance with a regular schedule of aerobics, weight training, hill-walking and
cleansing her skin with Dove Beauty Bar.

toward buying the two parcels of land on
the south end of the block, each with a
house. The owner and mortgage holder
of the house at 4905 N. Vancouver Ave.
have agreed to release their interests in
the property at a nominal cost, if we pay
all taxes and liens on that land. That
means we should be able to purchase
clear title to the land for a little over
$8,000. Costs to make a down payment
on the house at 4906 N. Gantenbein are
still about $750.
