The Oregon Department of Transportation, Highway Division, Region 1, is
seeking proposals from qualttied consultants to develop and design a communica-
tions network for the Region freeway management Program.
This communication network will involve the development of a two-way commu-
nications system over approximately 80 miles of the Portland area freeway system.
The network will include final design of communication links for four groups of
existing ramp meter signals, which will be part of the future system-wide network.
The successful consultant will enter into a lump sum contract for an amount
which is not to exceed $70,000.00.
