youth, men, women, seniors, fam i
lies. Programs offered include music
and arts subjects, character-build
ing, sports, camping, and retreats.
There are also up-to-date educat ion
al programs that cover practical
skills and Bible Study.
A central belief of Army members
is that we are, above all. spiritual
beings and, of all our needs, our
sp iritu a l need is greatest. The Sal
vation Army tries to fu lfill Paul s
injunction: "God shall supply all
your needs according to H is riches
and glory." Over 115,000 decisions
for Christ on record last year clearly
indicate that the Army's approach
can change lives.

he Salvation Army has been
called "a church for the un
churched” but even more, it is a
sp iritua l home for those who seek to
express their love of God in p ra cti
cal ways. At local Corps Communi
ty C enters, A rm y m em bers and
th e ir friends "p u t their faith into
action." W orship is always open to
the public and many newcomers are
inspired by unique and exciting
opportunities for service the Army
opens up for them.
Perhaps more im portant, p a rtic i
pants discover that a commitment
to C hrist can give direction and
meaning to their lives.
M usic inspires Salvationists and
worship is enriched by the participa
tion of vocal groups or the band. A
sense of belonging and good fel
lowship is reinforced by a wide range
of programs for all interest groups:
