The 12th annual H a nd-in-H and Festi­
val w ill be held at the St. A n d re w
Com m unity Center on June 23id, from
11:00 A M to 3:00 P M . The fe stiva l is
a c a m iv a l-lik e day o f fun and sharing
fo r people w ith m ental and physical
d isa b ilitie s , and m any volunteers.
Games, clo w n s , foo d , prizes, a m agic
show , liv e m usic, and face-painting
are among the h ig h lig h ts o f the day.
The goal o f the H and-in-hand Festival
is to break dow n the barriers that
separate people w ith d iffe re n t needs,
and m ake i t a jo y fu l day fo r a ll in ­
volved. The participants and v o lu n ­
teers w ill com e fro m a ll areas o f
P ortland, and the fe stiva l w ill be free
fo r a ll attending.
RAMSEY NAMED TO
OHA
R eynard Ramsey, a senior business de­
velopm ent o ffic e r in the state’ s E co­
nom ic D evelopm ent Departm ent, has
been named a d m in istra to r o f the
O regon H ousing A gency.
Ramsey has been w ith E D D since 1987.
In his cu rre n t p o sitio n , he has served
as lia iso n w ith state, lo ca l and federal
agencies and the O regon congres­
sional delegation. H e was fo rm e rly
re g io n a l business developm ent o f f i­
cer fo r e ig h t counties in central O re ­
gon, in c lu d in g Bend.
A graduate o f Rutgers U n iv e rs ity and
U n iv e rs ity o f V irg in ia law school, he
has lo n g been active in U rban League
and in H a b ita t fo r H u m a n ity , a v o l­
unteer group that b u ild s houses fo r
lo w -in c o m e people.
Previously an attorney w ith Stoel, Rives,
B o le y, Jones and G re y, the state’ s
largest la w firm , Ramsey, 29, c u r­
re n tly serves on the M in o rity b u si­
ness L e g a l and E ducation Defense

H is annual salary at the Housing Agency
w ill be $56,904.
