Say You Saw It In The

Watch out world, Oscar the Grouch
has a girlfriend! Yes, that’s right, a girl
friend. They say there’s a match for
everyone, and now the world knows
that this includes grouches.
Making her debut on the SESAME
STREET LIVE stage is Grundgetta, an
uncombed, fashion unconscious grouch.
Grundgetta will take the stage in her
uniquely grouchy style for the first time
ever in SESAME STREET LIVE’S
“ Silly Dancing” appearing at the
PORTLAND M EM ORIAL C O L I
SEUM, in Portland, Ore., Wednesday,
June 13 through Sunday, June 17 for
seven performances.
Oscar has definitely met his match of
grouchiness in Grundgetta. She enjoys
the same yucky things as “ Oskie,”
such as junk and rainy days, and really
likes to disagree with him. Most of all,
she loves to silly dance, but only in a
grouchy way - of course.
Grundgetta joins Big Bird and the
rest of the dancing Sesame Street crew
in the craziest, zaniest and silliest danc-
ing ever. This sensational 90-minute
production has more audience partici
pation and familiar songs than ever
before.
SESAME STREET LIVE, now cele
brating its 10th season, is presented by
VEE Corporation in cooperation with
Children’s Television Workshop (CTW)
and Jim Henson Productions. “ Silly
Dancing” was written by Norman Stiles,
head writer for CTW’s “ Sesame Street”
Tickets are on sale for “ Silly Danc
ing” at the Coliseum box office and all
TicketMaster locations. Tickets are
$ 10.00 and $8.00 with a $ 1.50 discount
for children 12 and under. For more
ticket information, please call 248-4496.
