The Metropolitan Service District, your regional government,
handles region-wide concerns in the urban areas of Clackamas,
Multnomah and Washington counties. Metro is responsible for
solid waste management, operation of the Metro Washington Park
Zoo, transportation planning, technical services to local govern­
ments, and the Oregon Convention Center.
