The City of Salem Community Development Department is seeking
proposals from qualified professional consultants to provide architectural
and engineering services relating to the design and construction document
preparation for:

The request for proposal documents are available from the office of the
City of Salem Purchasing Supervisor, City Hall, Room 335,555 Liberty
Street SE, Salem, OR 97301, telephone (503) 588-6136 weekdays
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
A mandatory pre-proposal conference has been set for 2:30 p.m.,
December 29,1989, City Council Chambers, Room 240, Salem, Civic
Center, 555 Liberty Street SE, Salem, Oregon. Attendance by a
representative of the proposer for the entire pre-proposal conference is
mandatory. The conference is anticipated to last approximately two (2)
hours.
Proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m. (local time) January 12,
1990, at the City Recorder’s Office, Room 205, City Hall, 555 Liberty
Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301. Proposals that are received after the
closing time, for any reason, will not be accepted. Delivery to an office
other than the office identified above is not acceptable.
Any objections to or comments upon the RFP specifications must be
submitted in writing to the Office o f the Purchasing Supervisor, 555
Liberty Street SE, Room 335, Salem, Oregon 97301. They must be
received no later five (5) calendar days before the RFP closing date.
The proposals received will be held confidential until a recommendation
for award has been approved by the user Department Head or City
Manager, depending on level of cost, thereafter all proposals will be
available for public inspection at the office of the Purchasing Supervisor
unless specifically requested to be kept confidential (names of firms and
total costs figures may not be held confidential).
Six (6) copies of the proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope
titled “ SALEM DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE/ALLEYWAY
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM: 1990 - RFP #1134” . The City will be
the sole judge in determining award of the contract and reserves the
right to reject all proposals.
All proposals shall bear the signature of the proposer.
