o f Hillsboro, Washington County, Oregon, 205 SE Second, Hillsboro,
Oregon, 97123 until 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 1989 for work and
materials required for the Hillsboro Community Center.
A t the time and place mentioned above, all bids on hand w ill be opened and
publicly read aloud and then filed for public inspection, bids received after
the time fixed for opening w ill not be considered.
this project is financed through the Community Development Block grant
Program with funds obtained from the U.S. Department o f Housing and
I rban Development. The contract w ill be subject to regulations o f the
Department of Labor and Housing and Urban Development.”
Attention is called to Federal provisions for Equal Employment Opportu­
nity, HUD Section 3 requirements and the minimum wages as set forth in the
contract documents.”
The general nature of the work is as follows: Construction o f an approxi­
mately 6,700 square foot building that includes an institutional kitchen
facility.
Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect - John
L. Henslee, Architect and Planner, 1509 SW Sunset Blvd., Suite 2E,
Portland, Oregon 97201.
A set o f Draw ings and Specification w ill be available at the office o f the
Architect to each prospective prime contractor. (A Deposit o f 450 is
required).
No proposal w ill be considered unless accompanied by bid security in the
form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond payable to the City
o f Hillsboro in an amount equal to 10% o f the base bid. No interest w ill be
paid on bid security. Return or retention o f bid security shall be subject to
the provisions o f ORS 279.031.
No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof and
before award o f the Contract, unless the award is beyond forty five (45)
calendar days from the bid opening date.
The City o f Hillsboro may reject any bid not in compliance with all
prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for
good cause any or all bids upon a finding o f the City o f Hillsboro it is in the
public interest to do so.

Prequalification applications or statements must be prepared during the
period o f one year prior to the bid date. Prequalification application and
proof o f prequalification by the Oregon Department o f Transportation must
be actually received or postmarked to Multnomah County Purchasing
section by not later than 10 days prior to bid opening.
A ll bidders must comply with the requirements o f the prevailing wage law
