Since the beginning o f Project Help, thousands ofpeople have been warmed by donations from people like you.

Here’s how you can lend a hand. Project Help provides emergency assistance to the elderly,
disabled and low income families who, because of an emergency, need heat this winter.
Last year thousands of you, together with the shareholders of Portland General Electric and
Pacific Power contributed nearly $400,000 for emergency assistance.
Over 3,600 homes were kept warm. Whether they needed wood, oil, gas or electricity.
But all too soon Old Man Winter is going to knock on the door once again. So look for donation
envelopes in this month’s electric utility statement and please give as you are able. W W w w
Applicants for one-time emergency assistance will again be screened by the JwjSm
Salvation Army or a designee. Beginning in January, approved checks will be issued

directly to the appropriate fuel supplier, and you’ll have helped a family through a pacific po w er
tough ordeal. W hich, we suspect, might even warm you a little too.
