period of one year prior to the bid date. Prequalification application and
proof of prequalification by the Oregon Department of Transportation
must be actually received or postmarked to Multnomah County Purchas­
ing Section by not later than 10 days prior to bid opening.

in ORS 279.350.

NOTICE OF INTENT
The Oregon Department of Transportation, Highway Division, Bridge
Section requests Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications from
consulting engineering firms with experience in any of the following types
of work: moveable bridge and mechanical engineering, corrosion engi­
neering and building architecture/engineering. The Division will engage
consulting engineering firms to perform services in one or more of these
three areas.
Successful Consultants will enter into flexible personal service contracts.
The Bridge Section will assign work on an as-nceded basis. Normal
notification prior to the commencement of work on a project will be 2
weeks.
The maximum value of each contract will be $20,000 for a one-year
period. The Division reserves the option to renew each contract for a
second year.
