The Oregon Slate Fair is currently accepting proposals from full service
advertising agencies to do creative and media buying for the 1990 Slate Fair.
Interested agencies may obtain more information by contacting Diane

378-3247. Deadline for the receipt of all proposals is no later than 5:00

FINANCIAL ADVISOR SERVICES
The Metropolitan Service District (Metro) is soliciting proposals from
qualified firms to provide financial advisor services for a period of three
years. Interested firms should contact Kathy Rutkowski to receive detailed
proposal information. W ritten proposals m ust be received in the Metro
Offices, 2000 S.W. 1st Avenue, Portland, OR 97201, no later than 5:00
p.m ., Friday, October 27,1989.
Metro reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive
any irregularities.
REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Metropolitan Service District (Metro), the agency responsible for
constructing and operating the new Oregon Convention Center, is seeking
bids for the warehousing of selected Convention Center furniture, fixtures
and equipment (FF&E) items. The warehousing responsibilities will
include receiving, inventorying and storing FF&E items and may ianclude
delivery to and installation of such items in the completed Convention
Center. Copies of the Request for Bids (RFB) are available from Sandy
Stallcup of the Convention Center Project Office at (503) 221-1646.
Bidders will be required to conform exactly to the propsoed Scope of
Work. Any questions regarding this RFB shall be directed writing to the
Convention Center Project Office, Attn: Berit Younie, 2000 S.W. First
Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97201-5398 by 5:00 p.m., PST, October 23,
1989.
Goals on this contract for participation of Metro's Disadvantaged and
Women Business Program have been set at 7% and 3% respectively. If
subcontracting is proposed, bidders must meet these goals or demonstrate
good faith efforts to do so.
Bids must be delivered to Metro, Attn: Berit Younie, Convention Center
Project Office, 2000 S.W. First Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97201 by 4:00
p.m. PST on Friday, November 3, 1989.
Metro reserves the right to reject for cause any bids or to waive any irregu­
larities upon a finding by Metro that it is in the public interest to do so.

Prequalification shall BE REQUIRED for this project for the following

Prequalification applications or statements must be prepared during the
period of one year prior to the bid date . Prequalificatioi application and
proof of prequalification by the Oregon Department of Transportation must
be actually received or postmarked to Multnomah County Purchasing-
Seclion by not later than 10 days prior to bid opening.,
All bidders must comply with the requirements of the prevailing wage law
in ORS 279.350.

Contractors and subcontractors must be licensed for asbestos abatement
work if the project involves working with asbestos.,
No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a check payable to
Multnomah County, certified by a responsible bank, or in lieu threof, a
surety bond for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the aggregate
proposal. The successful bidder shall furnish a bond satisfactory to the
Board in the full amount of the contract.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS
The Metropolitan service District (Metro) is seeking proposals for the
installation of the telecommunications equipment for the Oregon Convention
Center. Proposals shall include installation of a 600 line PBX switch located
at the Convention Center, or, in the alternative, a Centrix System, attendent
consels and approximately 600 telephone instruments, Proposers may, as an
option, propose a Telecommunications System Management Contract.
Copies of the Proposal Documents are available from Sandy Stallcup of the
Convention Center Project Office at (503)221-1646. A non-refundable fee
of $25.00 per set is required to cover the cost of printing.
A mandatory Pre Proposal conference has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
PST, Wednesday, November 1,1989 to be conducted in the Metro Council
Chambers, 2000 SW First Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97201. A formal site
walk-through will be conducted immediately following the Pre-Proposal
conference. Any questions regarding these Proposals Documents must be
submitted in writing to Metro, Atm. Berit Younie, by Wednesday, November
15, 1989. A Summary of the questions and answers will be sent via
Addendum to those who have received copies of the Proposal Documents.
Goals on this contract for participation of Metro's Disadvantaged and
Women Business Program goals have been set at 1 % and 2.75% respectively.
If subcontracting is proposed. Proposers must meet these goals or demonstrate
good faith efforts to do so.
