The Port of Portland has immediate openings for part-time Information
Specialists to provide timely information and customer services to the
traveling and general public visiting Portland International Airport
Preferred qualifications include:
•Availability and willingness to work an average of 28 hours per week
weekends, holidays and shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
•Ability to understand and explain airport activities such as flight
schedules, ground transportation information, etc.
•Knowledge of business telephone etiquette and an ability to speak in a
clear, definitive telephone voice.
•Knowledge of foreign languages helpful.
•Demonstrated cooperative and outgoing personality.
•Ability to work in an isolated, independent situation.
•Demonstrated ability to deal with emergencies in a calm, clear-headed
manner.
In addition to a starting salary of $6.17 per hour and a full range of $6.17 to
$8.76 per hour, the Port offers a comprehensive benefit package.

HOFFMAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF

The RFP is seeking the services of an individual or firm to establish and
implement plans for increasing cultural competence in selected private
child caring agencies serving delinquent youth in the Portland Metro
area. The goal of the project is to assist community programs to better serve
minority youth through increased cultural competency, increased numbers
of minority staff working in the programs and improved linkages with
minority communities. The deadline for submitting proposals is 5:00 p.m.,
November 1, 1989. An Offeror’s Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m.
October 4,1989 at the CSD Multnomah Branch Office, 815 NE Davis St.,
Portland, to answer questions regarding the RFP. A copy of the RFP may be

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) hereby gives
notice that it is requesting proposals for a supportive services consultant to
provide highway construction assistance to Disadvantaged Business Enter­
prises (DBEs). Services shall commence immediately. The selected con­
sultant shall provide services until September 30, 1990.
The purpose of these supportive services is to increase the effectiveness
and achievements of DBEs. The purpose of these requests are to solicit
detailed proposals from firms wishing to assist certified DBE firms bidding
and performing work on Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funded
projects in the following particulars:
1. Pro vide business development, financial counseling, and bonding
assistance to DBEs. $75,000.00
2. Provide legal counseling for DBE development $15,000.00.
3. Provide monthly technical prebid workshops and quarterly informa­
tional program forums to DBEs and construction industry. $45,000.00
4. Provide bid estimating and project management assistance to DBEs.
$25,000.00.
