PREQUALIFICATION O F BIDDERS Pursuant to the Multnomah
County Public Contract Review Board Administrative Rules (AR 40.030)
Prequalification shall be required for this project for the following class(es)
of work: Municipal Street Construction.
Prequalification applications or statements must be prepared during the
period of one year prior to the bid date. Prequalification application and
proof of prcqualificalion by the Oregon Department of Transportation must
be actually received or postmarked to Multnomah County Purchasing Sec­
tion by not later than 10 days prior to bid opening.
All bidders must comply with the requirements of the prevailing wage
law in ORS 279.350.

Contractors and subcontractors must be licensed for asbestos abatement
work if the project involves working with asbestos.

No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a check payable
to Multnomah County, certified by a responsible bank, or in lieu thereof, a

Sealed bids are requested for labor and materials to construct apartment
renovations and will be received at the HAP Maintenance Office, 8910 N.
Woolsey Avenue, Portland, OR, 97203, until 2:00 pm, PDT, Tuesday, June
13, 1989. Shortly thereafter, bids will be opened and publicly read. The
attendance of bidders is welcomed.
The project is identified as Iris Court, located at 400 N Sumner, Portland,
OR 97217. Work to be performed includes demolition o f existing concrete
walks and paving, removal of abandoned sprinkler system and specified
utilities, site grading and drainage, new construction of walks and patios,
exterior lighting, landscape planting with irrigation, and site furnishings.
Interested bidders may obtain one set of bid documents at the HAP
Maintenance Office, 8910N. Woolsey Avenue, Portland, OR 97203, upon
receipt of deposit of $75 which is refundable when documents are returned
to HAP in good condition within 10 days after bid opening. Additional sets
may be acquired for $40 each, which is not refundable.
A HAP Representative will conduct a pre-bid lour of the project com­
mencing a 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 30, 1989, and the attendance of bidders
is requested. Questions posed at that time, when not addressed in the
specifications, will be answered by addendum and mailed to all bidders.
No bid will be considered unless accompanied by bid security in the form
of certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond payable to the Housing
Authority of Portland in an amount equal to 10% of the bid which is forfeited
as fixed and liquidated damages should the bidder neglect or refuse to enter
into contract or provide a suitable bond for the faithful performance of work
when bidder is notified of contract award.
A minimum of 20% MBE participation in the execution of this project is
a HUD Region 10 and HAP goal and the methods the bidder proposes to
meet this goal shall be submitted on a notarized “ Certification of MBE
Participation” form which will become part of the bid.
No bidder may withdraw bid after the hour set for opening thereof until
after the lapse of sixty (60) days from the bid opening.
The Housing Authority of Portland may reject any bid not in compliance
w ith the prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and may reject any
or all bids and waive all informalities if, in the judgment of HAP, it is in the

Sealed bids for Remodel -1535 Agate Street, University of Oregon, Will
be received by the Oregon State Board of Higher Education in Conference
Room 2, University of Oregon Physical Plant Department, 1295 Franklin

Briefly, the work includes structural remodeling of an existing modular
