class(es) of work: Traffic Signals - Highways. Streets and Roads
Prequalification applications or statements must be prepared during
the period of one year prior to the bid date. Prequalification application
or proof of prequalification by the Oregon Department of Transportation
must be actually received or postmarked to Multnomah County by not
later than 10 days prior to bid opening.
All bidders must comply with the requirements of the prevailing wage
law in ORS 279.350.

Contractors and subcontractors must be licensed for asbestos abate­

No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a check payable

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES • ASBESTOS SURVEY
Proposals Due: Tuesday, November 1,1988
The Portland Development Commission is seeking proposals from
qualified consulting architectural/engineering teams to provide a pre­
demolition asbestos survey for Pacific Power & Light Company s forrp®r
Lincoln Steamplant located within the South Waterfront Area of the
Downtown Waterfront Urban Renewal District of the City of Portland.
The work will include:
1. Inspection of all accessible areas of the building.
2. Identification of all Asbestos-Containing Materials
(ACMs).
3. Laboratory testing and air sampling.
4. Assessment of potential hazards.
5 Quantify amount of ACM, locate on plans, identify
' means of abatement, time frame for removal, and
cost estimates.
The Portland Development Commission encourages participation of
minority/women business enterprise contractors on its Projects.
Established Commission goals for participation is nine percent (9 /o) for
women business enterprises. PDC expects the consultant to meet or
increase these goals.
Prospective consultants must be certified by the City of Portland as an
Equal Opportunity Employer. Consultants must carry a minimum of
$500,000 single lim it liability insurance policy, including errors and
omissions insurance.

Electrical renovation of the Terminal 4 primary and secondary power
distribution system. Included is underground duct, bank and manhold
construction; 15kV cable installation and splicing, including EPR to
existing VCL (lead) cables; installation and connection of Port-
furnished, pad-mounted primary switchgear and Port-furnished high-
voltage oil-filled and dry-type transformers; and relocation of the
existing PGE alternate aerial service point of entry to the terminal.
