July 1, 1909 - September 24 ,1988
Some share their lives with all they meet
Along life's thoroughfare,
A smile ... a nod ... a silence sweet,
These are the joys they share.
Some close their eyes along the road
While others hold their ears,
And there are quick and thoughtless words
That transform smiles to tears.
Our hearts tick off the nights and days
like clocks upon a shelf,
And lonely is the one who wastes
God’s time upon him self.
