Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Johnson, Jr.
Fairley - Johnson Wed
Love is like a rose pressed be
tween two lifetimes; they will last
forever!
The Wedding Ceremony Unity
of Johnnie Marie Fairley and
Johnny Johnson, Jr. was cele
brated on July 2, 1988 at the
Greater Mt. Calvary Church of
God in Christ on 1234 N.E. Kill
ingsworth Street at 12:00 Noon.
Bishop H. B. Daniels, Sr., pas
tor, performed the very spiritural
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
Paul Fairley, Sr. and Mrs.
LaVonne Fairley (deceased).
The groom is the son of Mr.
Johnny Johnson, Sr. and Mrs.
Marguerite Jackson.
The wedding colors were pale
pink and pale green.
LOVE ... is patient and kind;
love is not jealous, or conceited,
or proud, or provoked; love does
not keep a record of wrongs; love
is not happy with evil, but is
pleased with the truth. Love never
gives up: its faith, hope, and
patience never fail.
(I Corinthians: Chapter 13)
faith alone, plus nothing; well,
good works are important too, for
without good works you can’t
prove whether you have faith or
not; but anyone can see that you
have faith by the way you act.
Are there still some among you
who hold that “ only believing” is
enough: Believing in one God?
Well, remember that the demons
believe this too — so strongly that
they tremble in terror! Fool!

Young Women ...
With No Place To Go!
When will you ever learn that
“ believing” is useless without do
ing what God wants you to? Faith
that does not result in good
deeds is not real faith.
Don't you remember that even
Abraham was declared good
because of what he did, when he
was willing to obey God, even if it
meant offering his son Isaac to
die on the altar? You see, he was
trusting God so much that he was
willing to do whatever God told
him to; his faith was made com
plete by what he did, by his ac
tions, and his good deeds. And so
it happened just as the Scriptures
say that Abraham trusted God,
and the Lord declared him good
in God’s sight, and he was even
called “ the friend of God." So you
see, a man is saved by what he
does, as well as by what he
believes.
Rahab, the p ro s titu te , is
another example of this. She was
saved because of what she did
when she hid those messengers
and sent them safely away by a
different road. Just as the body is
dead if it is not the kind that
results in good deeds.
The wisdom that comes from
heaven is first of all pure and full
of quiet gentleness. Then it is
peace-loving and courteous. It al
lows discussion and is willing to
yield to others; it is full of mercy
and good deeds. It is whole
hearted and straight-forward and
sincere. Those who are peace
makers will plant seeds of peace
and reap a harvest of goodness.
