ly in town to pass the word about naval officer opportunities for minorities.
The 1973 graduate of Jefferson High School has worked as a Navy dentist
for the Marine Corps near Palm Springs, Calif, and on the island of Okinawa.
The Marine Corps does not have its own medical corps; it relies on the Navy

Mary Wideman-Williams is a C H O ICES program volunteer. She's one of
417 Pacific Northwest Bell people who have taken the time to receive speeii
training to help our 9th graders understand what it really means to drop out
of school.
You see, most kids who drop out of school don t know w hat their choices
really are. And once they do know, some of them decide that staying in
school is a pretty smart choice after all.
