Pioneer PUD takeover. • ♦
A PUD takeover of the existing electric system
would be extraordinarily expensive. It could cost
as much as $550 million»
A PUD would mean an immediate propertyjax
increase.
A PUD could impose property taxes for as many
as 10 years before it ever begins providing electric
service.
A PUD would have the power to issue bonds,
incur debts and set electric rates — all without the
of Oregon’s Public Utilities Commission.
