The M etropolitan Service D istrict (Metro) is soliciting bids for the Site
Preparation Contract, Bid Package No. 2, for the Oregon Convention
Center. Sealed bids must be delivered to the office of the Convention
Center Project, M etropolitan Service District, 2000 S.W. First Avenue,
Portland, OR 97201-5398, to the attention of Tuck Wilson, Convention
Center Project Director, no later than 2:00 p.m. PST, April 26, 1988, at
which time they w ill be publicly opened in the Council Chamber.
Subcontracting goals on this Contract for participation of Disadvan­
taged and Women Business Enterprises have been set at 10* and 3» re­
spectively Bidders must meet these goals or demonstrate good faith
efforts to do so.
Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Specifications depicting
the work, may be examined at the Oregon Convention Center Project
office at the address cited above. Copies of the Bidding Documents
can be obtained from the same office at the refundable cost of $100.00
per set. Checks or money orders must be made payable to the Metro­
politan Service District. If mailing of the materials is desired, the pro­
spective Bidder must provide a street address and a telephone number
in addition to a post office box number, if any, and must include a non-
refundable postage fee of $5.00. Potential Bidders may contact Dave

97202 for: Installation of traffic lights on S.E. Division Street at S.E.
Main Street, and S.E. 202nd Avenue.

PREQUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS: Pursuant to the Multnomah County
Public Contract Review Board Administrative Rules (AR 40.030) Pre­
qualification shall be required for this project for the follow ing
class(es) of work: Traffic Signals.
Each bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is a resi­
dent bidder, as defined in ORS 279.029.
Bidders and subcontractors need not be licensed under ORS 468.883
(regarding licensing of contractors on projects involving asbestos
abatement).
Metro may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public
bidding procedures and requirements and may reject for good cause
any or all bids upon a finding of Metro that it is in the public interest to
do so.
A pre-bid conference w ill be conducted Tuesday, April 5,1988 at 2:00
p.m. PST at the Portland Building, 1120 S.W. Fifth Avenue, Second
Floor Hearing Room, Portland, Oregon.

portation must be actually received or postmarked to Multnomah

No bid w ill be received or considered by Metro unless the bid contains
a statement by the bidder that the provisions of ORS 279.350, regarding
prevailing wage rates, are to be com plied with.
