tion strategies and reduce or eli
minate casualties to the Port’s
physical and human assets and to
ensure that the Port complies
with all federal, state and local
laws regarding employee and fac
ility safety.
Preferred qualifications include
demonstrated successful profes
sional experience in planning, de
veloping, and directing a compre
hensive loss prevention program.
Also preferred is prior experience
with marine/waterfront safety is
sues; a knowledge of federal and
state regulations concerning em
ployee and facility safety; a
knowledge of environmental Im
pairment issues arising out of as
bestos, sound, and chemical pol
lution and a proven ability to
work with diverse employee
groups and Issues. CSP (Certi
fied Safety Professional) designa
tion or comparable certification
and course work or experience
