mediate opening for a person to
guide the development of and
monitor success of loss preven­
tion strategies and reduce or eli­
minate casualties to the Port’s
physical and human assets and to
ensure that the Port complies
with all federal, state and local
laws regarding employee and fac­
ility safety.
Preferred qualifications include
demonstrated successful profes­
sional experience in planning, de­
veloping, and directing a compre­
hensive loss prevention program.
Also preferred is prior experience
with marine/waterfront safety is­
sues; a knowledge of federal and
state regulations concerning em­
ployee and facility safety; a
knowledge of environmental Im­
pairment issues arising out of as­
bestos, sound, and chemical pol­
lution and a proven ability to
work with diverse employee
groups and Issues. CSP (Certi­
fied Safety Professional) designa­
tion or comparable certification
and course work or experience
equivalent to a degree In busi­
ness, with specific course work in
loss prevention.
