ELECTRICITY/ELECTRONICS INSTRUCTOR
S pecific Responsibilities:
1. Teach first and second year com m u n ity college courses
in electrical circuits, electronic devices and digital electronic
system s, industrial control, and robotic electronics for d aytim e
and evening classes.
2. D evelop classroom and laboratory activities needed to
develop practical technician level skills in testing, trou blesh oot­
ing, and analyzing electrical/electron ic circuits.
3. D evelop new electrical/electronics courses as needed to
m aintain E lectricity/E lectron ics Program current with industrial
tech n ology.
4. Participate actively in prom oting a strong working rela­
tionship with local industries that em p loy electricity/electron ics
technicians.
M inimum Q ualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree (M aster’s degree preferred) in Electrical
Engineering, Physics, or Industrial Education.
2. T w o years full tim e equivalent industrial an d /or m ilitary
experience in the E lectricity/E lectron ics area.
3. One year full tim e equivalent teaching experience.
A nticipated date of ap p ointm en t is first faculty reporting
day of the Winter Sem ester 1988. Working con d ition s, com pen-
satio n /b en efits, and base load will be in accord with the faculty
m aster agreem ent.

INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Mana­
ger of the Port of Poitland, 700 N.E. Multnomah
Street, Portland, Oregon (mailing address: P.O. Box
3529, Portland, OR 97208) for items detailed herein
until the individually specified dates and times indi­
cated, and thereafter publicly opened and read.
Plans and specifications may be examined and/or
obtained at the above address. Contact the Purcha­
sing Department at 231 -5000, Ext. 588.
Bids must be on the bid form provided to prospec­
tive bidders and, when Bid Surety is required, must
be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check
drawn on a United States bank, or a bid bond pay­
able to the Port of Portland in an amount equal to at
least 10 percent of the total amount bid.
When prequalification is required, the prequalifica­
tion statements should be received at least 5 days
prior to the time set for bid opening. Applications
for prequalification may be submitted less than 5
days before bid opening, but consideration by the
Port cannot he assured.
Attention is called to the provisions of the Oregon
Revised Statutes 279.350, providing that workers be
paid prevailing wage rates.

Scope:
Setting Port-furnished concrete barricades, con­
structing a new long-term parking entrance, con­
structing two new bus entrances and one bus exit,
modifying existing vehicle entrances, installing PVC
and GRS conduit, installing equipment foundations,
pavement marking, curb modifications, driveway
construction, and street light connections. A prebid
conference will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 6,
1987, at the Portland International Airport Main­
tenance Facility, 7111 N.E. Alderwood Road, Port­
land, Oregon.

vicinity of Portland International Airport. A prebid
conference will be held on Monday, October 12,
1987, at 2:00 p.m., at the Port of Portland Aviation
Construction Office, 7267 N.E. Airport Way, Port­
land, Oregon, to discuss all phases of the work.
