INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids for an Elevator Service Contract will be accepted by the Housing Authority of Portland, 8910 N. Woolsey Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97203 until 2:00 p.m., PDT, Tuesday, October 20, 1987, Follow­ ing a short interval, bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bidders may be present during the bid opening. The work includes, but is not limited to, full main­ tenance coverage of Housing Authority elevators. Prospective bidders may obtain one set of bidding documents, at no charge, at the Housing Authority, 8910 N. Woolsey Avenue between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. No bidder may withdraw bid after the hour set for the opening thereof until after the lapse of 60 days from the bid opening. All bids must be submitted on forms supplied by the Housing Authority. All bids must be regular in every respect and no interlineations, excisions or special conditions shall be made or included in the bid forms by the bidder. Bid documents will include the bid and shall be en­ closed in an opaque sealed envelope which shall be clearly labeled "Housing Authority of Portland —Ele­ vator Contract Bid” , and include name of the bidder, date and time of bid opening to guard against pre­ mature opening of the bid. No responsibility will be attached to an officer for premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and identified. The Housing Authority of Portland may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and may reject any or all bids, and waive all informalities if in the judgment of HAP that it is in the public interet to do so.
