Salary Range:
$1,790 to $2,327 per m onth
($10.32 to $13.42 per hour

Performs difficult professional
land use planning work, encom­
passing community wide and site
specific issues. Typical areas of
involvement include historic dist­
rict analysis, design review, parks
and recreation planning and
transportation planning.
Re­
quires graduation from an accre­
dited four year college or univer­
sity with major coursework in Ur­
ban Planning or related field
(Masters degree in Urban Plan­
ning is desirable and may replace
two years of required work ex­
perience), two years progressive­
ly responsible experience in a
wide range of land use issues.
Experience or training in interpre­
ting information from maps and
air photos. Oral, graphic and
written communication skills and
the ability to communicate with
the public in a clear, concise,
effective and tactful manner.
Proficiency in interpreting archi­
tectural drawings. At time of
appointment, have a valid drivers
license and ability to provide own
vehicle for on the job travel.
