Fashion Show And Luncheon
Women of the Episcopal Church of St. Philip the Deacon will present
an August Fashion Show and luncheon, Saturday, August 15, 1987, from
12:30 to 3 p.m. in the parish hall at 120 N.E. Knott Street. Patsy Andrews
of P.A. Productions will be presenting Fashions Now and Then along with
contemporary apparel for women, including the full figure woman, children
and men by national and local designers. Raina Beavers, 1985 Rose Festival
qpeen, will be commentator.
I Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. followed by the fashion show.
Tickets are ‘ 10.00 and are available from the church women or by calling Ida
McClendon, 282-0724. Coupons will be distributed for purchase of items
shown from local stores.

On Saturday, August 8th, the 2nd Annual Children of Africa Picnic
will be held at Willamette Park, off of S.W. Macadam.
The picnic, which will begin at 11:00 a.m., will offer African dishes

Ceaser 25, drowned while trying
to save his 10 year old nephew, and
a 5 year old boy who were on a
small rubber raft that was pulled
into the current. The boys were res
cued moments later by a passing
boater. Ceaser's body was found
June 24.
Born in New Orleans, Ceaser moved
to Portland in 1970. He graduated
from Jefferson 'High School where
he excelled in track. Ceaser worked
for the Hilton Hotel in Portland as a
Banquet Waiter after graduating
from high school.
Ceaser is Survived by his parents
Betty and William Ceaser of Port
land. Also by his four brothers;
Roland, Madison, David and Whar-
dell; all of Portland. And by his
eight sisters; Joyce, Debra, Eva,
Brenda, Donna, Denise, and Betty
Jean; all of Portland and Brenda
Powell of Slidell Louisian and by his
fiancee Kathy Puderbough.
