Sealed bids will be received by the Director of Pur­
chasing, Multnomah County Purchasing Section,
2505 S.E. 11th Ave., Portland, OR 97202 for: Pave­
ment Overlay (Asphalt Concrete Paving) for various
roads in Multnomah County.
Plans and Specifications are filed with the Purcha­
sing Director and copies may be obtained from the
above address for a $5.00 non-refundable fee.
CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS ONLY. Plans and
Specifications will not be mailed within the Tri-
County area.
PREQUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS: Pursuant to
the Multnomah County Public Contract Review
Board Administrative Rules (AR 40.030) Prequalifica­
tion shall be required for this project for the following
class(es) of work: Asphalt Concrete Paving.
Prequalification applications or statements must be
prepared during the period of one year prior to the
bid date. Prequalification application or proof of
prequalification by the Oregon Department of Trans­
portation must be actually received or postmarked to
Multnomah County by not later than 10 days prior to
bid opening.

NONDISCRIMINATION: Bidders on this work will
be required to comply with the provisions of Federal
Executive Order 11246. The requirements for Bid­
ders and Contractors are explained in the Specifica­
tions.
No bid will be received or considered unless the bid
contains a statement by the bidder as part of his bid
that the requirements of 279.350, 279.352, 279.355
and 279.356 shall be met.
No proposal will be considered unless accompanied
by a check payable to Multnomah County, certified
by a responsible bank, or in lieu thereof, a surety
bond for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of
the aggregate proposal. The successful bidder shall
furnish a bond satisfactory to the Board in the full
amount of the contract.
Multnomah County reserves the right to reject any or
all bids.

FOR BIDS
DIVISION A
Sealed bids for Westmoreland Day Care Center,
University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon will be re­
ceived by the Oregon State Board of Higher Educa­
tion at University of Oregon, Physical Plant Depart­
ment, Conference Room 2, 1295 Franklin Boulevard,,
Eugene, Oregon 97403, until 2:30 P.M., PDT, Tues­
day, August 4, 1987, and then publicly opened and
read aloud by the Undersigned or a designated re­
presentative.
Briefly, the work is described as the renovation of a
1200 S.F. building, including selective demolition
and the construction of a new 600 S.F. covered
play area at Westmoreland Family Housing Complex,
Eugene, Oregon.
Bids will be received on a lump-sum basis for all of
the work. One set of contract documents may be
obtained by prime bidders only, from Robertson/
Sherwood/Architects pc, 96 East Broadway,
Suite 6, Eugene, Oregon, upon deposit of $50.00.
Additional sets may be obtained for the cost of re­
production plus a deposit of $50.00.
Deposits will be refunded for documents returned in
good condition by actual bidders within two weeks
after opening bids, but to non-bidders only if return­
ed no later than one week prior to bid opening.
Contract documents may be examined at the U of O
Physical Plant Department; the office of Robertson/
Sherwood/Architects pc; Eugene Builders Ex­
change, Eugene; Builders Exchange Cooperative,
Construction Data Plan Center, Northwest Plan Cen­
ter, Portland; Oregon Builders Exchange, Roseburg;
Salem Contractors Exchange, Salem; and Dodge/
Scan, Seattle, WA.
All bidders must comply with ORS 279.350 relating
to prevailing rates of wage.
Bidders are invited and encouraged to attend a Pre-
Bid Conference which will be held at the project site,
on Tuesday, July 28, 1987 at 2:00 P.M., PDT.
No bid will be considered unless fully completed in
the manner provided in the "Instructions to Bidders"
upon the Bid Form provided and accompanied by
bid security.
