He is in charge of managing the division's Equal Employment Opportunity/Minority Business Enter prise programs. Catalani, 34, has managed a Southeast Asian Le gal Assistance Project for six counties in the Portland and Salem areas during the past four years. He was a case worker for the State Children's Service Divi­ sion for one year. Catalani was involved in an interdiscriplinary gra duate program in Third World community develop­ ment at the University of Oregon, graduated from Willamette Law School and studied at Howard University, Washington, D.C., under a community- lawyer post-doctoral fellowship. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar Affirma­ tive Action Committee, on the board of the Inter national Refugee Center of Oregon and the North west Voter Education and Registration Project, sec­ retary of the Refugee Child Advisory Committee, counsel and spokesman for the Southeast Asian Legal Affairs Task Force, and was formerly secre­ tary of the Salem Forum on Refugee Affairs and a member of the Salem Human Rights Commission.
