Portland C om m unity College Cascade Campus w ill host a blood drive1 on
Thursday, May 7 from 9 30 A M to 2 30 PM sponsored by The Associated
Students of PCC Cascade
The bloodm obile w ill be in the school gym.

This upcom ing blood drive has a goal o f 50 units, 15 units more than
the last tw o drives held at PCC Cascade All people in the com m unity w ho
are eligible to donate blood are strongly encouraged to participate
T yp e O b lo o d is ne e d e d ! Fifty percent of the population has type O
blood and the number of people w ho can receive type O is m uch larger
There is a great demand for this blood type however only five percent of
the population provides all of the blood donated
This fact stresses the
im portance of first time donors.
Donating blood is safe, easy, almost painless, and the whole procedure
takes less than an hour Ask any one of the 16.000 first timers who donated
