PUBLIC NOTICE
The Private Industry Council serving the City of Pori
land, Multnomah County and Washington County
will submit a draft |ob training plan to the State of
Oregon Job Training Partnership Administration on
March 2, 198Z The newly formed Private Industry
Council is authorized to develop and administer Fed
eral Job Training Partnership Act (JTPAI training
programs for residents of the City of Portland. Mult
nomah County and Washington County beginning
July 1. 1987
The draft plan describes the mix of activities allow
able under Title IIA of the Act which The Private
Industry Council will be providing including voca
tional skills training basic skills training, customized
training, on the |ob training pre employment and
(ob search training Funding for JTPA Title IIA will
total $5 404.110 for the period from July 1. 1987
through June 30. 1988 Approximately 3 000 youth
and adults facing significant barrier* to employment
who are residents of the City of Portland Multnomah
County or Washington County will be provided with
the skills needed, as defined by employers, to ob
tain long term employment
Five public meetings will tie held to receive citizen
input on tfie draft training plan
