FILTER NO 1 MEDIA AT STAYTON (GEREN)
ISLAND. OREGON

Recorder, City Hall, Room 205. Salem, Oregon, until
but not after 11 00 a m.. Local Time on February
18, 1907, at which time all bids will be publicly open
ed and lead aloud at the Council Chambers, Civic
C ent«, 066 Liberty Street S.E., Salem, Oregon for
the "REPLACEMENT OF THE SLOW SAND FILTER
NO 1 MEDIA AT STAYTON IGEREN) ISLAND
OREGON."
The proposed work consists of:
Base Bid: 205 lineal feet of 24 inch water
line,
excavation of
approximately
11,500 cubic yards of filter media sand,
site preparation, and appurtenant work
AND
Alternate No 1:
Furnish and placement of approxi­
mately 6,650 cubic yards of new filter
media sand, and mixing, washing,
screening, placement of approximately
17,700 cubic yards of filter media sand
and appurtenant work
OR
Alternate No.2:
Furnish and placement of approxi­
mately 24,350 cubic yards of new filter
media sand and appurtenant work
Plans, specifications and other bid documents may
be inspected and obtained at the office of the City
of Salem, Department of Public Works, 555 Liberty
Street S.E., Room 325. Salem, Oregon

Bids shall be made on the forms furnished by the
City, addressed, and mailed or delivered to the City
Recorder. City hall, Room 205, Salem, Oregon
97301, in a sealed envelope plainly marked "BID ON
REPLACEMENT OF SLOW SAND FILTER NO 1
MEDIA, and the name and address of the bidder.
A surety bond, cashier's check or certified check of
the bidder, made payable to the City of Salem, in
the amount of ten percent 110%) of the bid must
accompany each bid as security
Bid security of
all save the three lowest bidders will be returned
following the bid opening; all bid security will be
refunded upon execution of the contract by the sue
cessful bidder
No bid will be received or considered by the City of
Salem unless the bid contains a statement by the
bidder that the provisions of ORS 279 350 shall be
included in his contract.
The attention of bidders, is directed to the provisions
j f Chapter 97, Salem Revised Code, concerning un
lawful employment practices Violation of such pro
visions shall be grounds for immediate termination of
this contract without recourse by the contractor
