Prime contractors interested in bidding on this pro
|ect may receive one copy o, the specifications and
other bid documents at the office of the Purchasing
Supervisor, 1340 20th St S E , Salem, Oregon
97302 The proposed work consists of the repainting
of exterior metal on the existing Pringle Tower for
the Elderly
Bids must be submitted on die proposal forms fur
nished to bidders Proposals shall be submitted in
a sealed envelope plainly marked " B ID ON P A IN T
IN G H O U S IN G A U T H O R IT Y H IRISE B U ILD IN G
IN T E R IO R ". and show the name and business ad
dress of the bidder
No bid will be received or considered by the City of
Salem or any of its officers unless the bid contains
a statement by the bidder that the provisions of the
Davis Bacon Act, 40 USCA 276a(al shall be included
in his contract.
The Salem Housing Authority reserves the right to
reject any or all bids, to waive formalities and of post
ponmg the award of the contract for thirty (30) days
The attention of bidders is directed to the provisions
of Chapter 97, Salem Revised Code, concerning
unlawful employment practices Violation of such
provisions shall be grounds for immediate termina
tion of this contract without recourse by the con
tractor
NOTE: This project is federally funded through the
Department of Housing and Urban Development and
all requirements of that agency pertaining to bidding
and contract performance shall be strictly adhered
to.
Any objections to or comments upon these specifica
tions must be submitted in writing to the office of
the Purchasing Supervisor. 1340 20th St S E
Salem, Oregon 97302 not later than five I5I days
prior to bid opening
