NOTICE FOR BIDS
This protect includes, but is not limited to, installs
tion of approximately 33,250 linear feet of main line
sewer pipe, approximately 108 manholes, the recon
nection of catch basins using approximately 4,250
linear feet of pipe, and the reconnecting of approxi
mately 770 linear feet of live side sewers
The City Clerk will receive sealed bids until 9:30 a m.,
January 22. 1987 for the above protect located in
Spokane, Washington, in accordance with plans and
specifications on file in the office of the Public Works

The City of Spokane ensures that in any contract
entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority
business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity
to submit bids in response to this invitation and will
not be discriminated against on the grounds of race,
color, sex or national origin in consideration for an
award Minority hirings are provided for in contract
specifications
Bids for this project are invited from minority group
contractors who havo been prequalified, however, all
prequalified firms may compete
A certified check, cashier's check, cash or surety
bond in the sum of 5% of the Total Amount of Bid
must accompany the copy of the bid filed with the
City Clerk
No bidder may withdraw his bid after the time set for
the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is
delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days The
City Council reserves the right to refect any or all bids
submitted
Unless all bids are refected for good
cause, award shall be made to the lowest responsive,
responsible bidder
Successful bidder shall execute the contract within
ten (101 days after the date of award
Neither the State of Washington nor the Federal
Government nor any of its departments or employees
is or shall be a party to this Contract or any sub
contract.

January 13. 1987.
