COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW BASIN 4A
PROJECT 12900
NOTICE FOR BIDS
This project includes, but is not limited to, installs
tion of approximately 33,250 linear feet of main line
sewer pipe, approximately 108 manholes, the recon
nection of catch basins using approximately 4,250
linear feet of pipe, and the reconnecting of approxi­
mately 770 linear feet of live side sewers
Bids shall be submitted on unit price basis on the
forms provided, in accordance with the provisions of
the specifications. Bids containing unrealistic bid
prices may be rejected Bids are to be filed in accor
dance with the charter and ordinances of the City
of Spokane, and shall be addressed to the City Clerk.
The City Clerk will receive sealed bids until 9 30 a m.,
January 22, 1987 for the above project located in
Spokane. Washington, in accordance with plans and
specifications on file in the office of the Public Works
Director, Skywalk Level, Municipal Building, West
808 Spokane Falls Boulevard. Spokane. W A 99201

The bids will be
publicly opened and read immediately following in
the City Council Chambers
Copies of plans and
specifications are available at the Public Works De
partment upon payment of sixty dollars ($60 001
A certified check, cashier's check, cash or surety
bond in the sum of 5% of the Total Amount of Bid
must accompany the copy of the bid filed with the
City Clerk
No bidder may withdraw his bid after the time set tor
the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is
delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days. The
City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids
submitted
Unless all bids are rejected for good
cause, award shall be made to the lowest restxinsive,
responsible bidder.
The City of Spokane ensures that in any contract
entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority
business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity
to submit bids in response to this invitation and will
not be discriminated against on the grounds of race,
color, sex or national origin in consideration for an
award Minority hirings are provided for in contract
specifications
Successful bidder shall execute the contract within
ten (10) days after the date of award
Neither the State of Washington nor the Federal
Government nor any of its departments or employees
is or shall be a party to this Contract or any sub
contract

of the Public W orks D e p a rtm e n t at 1 30 p m on
January 13. 1987
Bids for this project are invited from minority group
