Salem. Oregon 97301 until, but not after 11 00
a m . N ovem ber 19. 1986. at which time said bids
will be publicly opened and read in the City Council
Chambers. Room 240. City Hall, for the proiect spe
cified herein
Prime contractors interested in bidding on this pro
iect may receive one copy of the specifications and
other bid documents at the office of the Purchasing
Supervisor 1340 20th St S E . Salem, Oregon
97302
Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms fur
mshed to the bidders Proposals shall be submitted
in a sealed envelope plainly marked BID ON SAL
VAG E A N D D E M O L IT IO N OF BOISE C A SCA DE
C O N TA IN E R B U IL D IN G
and show the name and
business address of the bidder
Any ob|ections to or comments upon these specifica
tions must be submitted in writing to the office of the
Purchasing Supervisor, 1340 20th St S E . Salem.
Oregon 97302 not later than five (5) days prior to the
bid opening
A surety bond, cashier's check, or certified check of
the bidder in the amount of ten percent 110% I of
the bid must be attached to each proposal as bid
security Unsuccessful bidders will have their secu
rity refunded to them when the contract has been
awarded

No bid will be received or considered by the City of
Salem or any of its officers unless the bid contains a
statement by the bidder that the provisions of ORS
279 350 shall be included in his contract.
The City of Salem reserves the right to reiect any or
all bids, to waive formalities and of postponing the
award of the contract for thirty (301 days.
The attention of bidders is directed to the provisiqjf
of Chapter 97, Salem Revised Code, concerning un
lawful employment practices. Violation of such pro
visions shall be grounds for immediate termination of
this contract without recourse by the contractor
NOTE A M A N D A T O R Y site inspection will be
held at the Boise Cascade Container Building, 120
Court Street N E . on Novem ber 14. 1986, b e t
w e e n the hours of 12 00 noon and 4 00 p m .,
local tim e Bids will not be accepted from any con
tractor not inspecting the work to be done under
this contract, and registered at the site during the
specified hours
