will be publicly opened and read in the City Council
Chambers, Room 240, City Hall, for the project
specified herein.
Prime contractors interested in bidding on this pro
ject may receive one copy of the specifications and
other bid docum ents at the office of the Purchasing
Supervisor, 1340 20th St S E . Salem, Oregon
97302
Bids must be subm itted on the proposal forms furni
shed to the bidders
Proposals shall be subm itted
in a sealed envelope plainly marked ' B ID S ON RE
ROOFING A T THE W IL L O W LAKE T R E A T M E N T
P LAN T
and show the name and business address
of the bidders.
Any objections to or com m ents upon these specifi
cations must be subm itted in w riting to the office of
the Purchasing Supervisor, 1340 20th St S E
Salem, Oregon 97302 not later than five (5) days
prior to the bid opening
A surety bond, cashier s check, or certified check of
the bidder in the am ount of ten percent 110%) of
the bid must be attached to each proposal as bid
security Unsuccessful bidders will have their secu
rity refunded to them w hen the contract has been
awarded
No bid w ill be received or considered try the City of
Salem or any of its officers unless the bid contains a
statem ent by the bidder that the provisions of ORS
279 350 shall be included in his contract
The City o f Salem reserves the right to reject any or
all bids, to waive form alities and of postponing the
award of the contract for th irty (30l days
The attention of bidders is directed to the provisions
of Chapter 97, Salem Revised Code. concerning
unlaw ful employm ent practices Violations of such
provisons shall be grounds for immediate termination
of this contract w ith o u t recourse by the contractor
