The PORTLAND DEVELOPMENT COM M ISSION
will receive written Bids for Chinatown Gateway,
Downtown Waterfront Urban Renewal Area, until
2:00 p.m ., Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on the 6th
day of October, 1986 at 1120 S.W . Fifth Avenue,
Suite 1102, Portland Oregon 97204 1968, at which
time and place all bids will be publicly opened and
read aloud.

The work consists of placing eight (8) auger cast
piling, two (21 large footings, removal of sidewalk
and street, new sidewalk and street construction,
electrical and related work. The work is to begin on
October 13, 1986 with a thirty 130) calendar day con­
tract time.

All bidders must comply with the provisions of Chap­
ter 279, Oregon Revised Statutes, relating to the
qualifications of bidders
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order
of the PORTLAND DEVELOPMENT C OM M ISSION,
Negotiable U S Government Bonds (at par value),
or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder
and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to
ten percent (10%) of the total Bid, shall be submitted
with Bid
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the
minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Con
tract Documents must be paid on the Project, and
that the Contractor must ensure that employees and
applicants for employment are not discriminated
against because of their rsce, color, religion, sex or
national origin, and that the Contractor must comply
with Regulations pertaining to the employment of
apprentices and trainees as set forth in the Contract
Documents
To assure compliance with the PORTLAND DEVEL
OPMENT COMMISSION'S Resolution No 3455, Ex­
hibit "A ", MBE FBE Recruitment, only bids in com ­
pliance with these MBE FBE requirements shall be
considered responsive
The PORTLAND DEVELOPMENT COM M ISSION re
serves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive
any informalities in the bidding.
Bidder shall be certified as and EEO Affirmative Ac­
tion Employer as prescribed by Chapter 3 100 of the
Code of the City of Portland
