Sealed bids will be received by the Oregon State
Board of Higher Education in Administrative Services
Building, Room 0100. Oregon State University, Cor
vallis, Oregon until 2:00 P M PDT, Thursday, Sep
tember 11, 1966, for Batcheller Hall Alterations loca
ted at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon
Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the
Administrative Services Building, Room A622D by
the Undersigned or a designated representative.
The project includes demolition, carpentry, doors,
cabinets, ceilings, painting and associated mechani
cal and electrical work
Bids will be received on a lump sum basis for all of
the work. One set of contract documents may be
obtained from the office of Jeppsen, Miller and
Tobias, Architects. 245 NE Conifer Blvd., Corvallis,
Oregon 97330 1754 7541) by primer bidders only
upon deposit of $26 Additional sets may be obtain
ed for the cost of reproduction. Subcontractors
and others may purchase a set of plans and specifi­
cations for $15.
Contract documents may be examined at the Archi
tect’s office; O .S .U . Physical Plant Office, Builders
Exchange Cooperative. Portland; Eugene Builders
Exchange Corporation, Eugene; Northwest Plan
Center, Portland; Salem Contractors Exchange,

Deposits will be refunded for contract documents
returned in good condition by actual bidders within
two weeks after opening of bids, but to nonbidders
only if returned no later than the day of the bid
opening
Pre-qualification of bidders is not required
Mandatory examination of the site and conditions will
be made on Monday, August 25. 1986. at 10:30 a m.
PDT. Bidders shall meet with Owner and Architect
at the Physical Plant Office prior to required examina
tton.
All bidders must comply with the requirements of the
prevailing wage law in ORS 279 350
No bid will be considered unless fully completed in
the manner provided in the "Instruction to Bidders"
upon the Bid Form provided and accompanied by
Bid Security.

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City
Recorder, City Hall, Room 205, Salem, Oregon, until
but not after 11 00 a m , Local Time on August 27,
1986, at which time all bids will be publicly opened
and read aloud at the Council Chambers, Civic Cen
ter, 555 Liberty Street S.E., Salem, Oregon for the
"REPLACEMENT OF A SIX (61 INCH WATER MAIN
IN MADRONA LOOP SOUTHEAST."
The proposed work consists of 444 lineal feet of
six (61 inch pipe, seven (7) services, one (1) fire
hydrant, and appurtenant word.
Plans, specifications and other bid documents may
be inspected and obtained at the office of the City of
Salem. Department of Public Works, 555 Liberty
Street S.E., Room 325, Salem, Oregon. The bidder
shall not file the book of "Standard Construction
Specifications" with his bid
Bids shall be made on the forms furnished by the
City, addressed, and mailed or delivered to the City
Recorder, City Hall, Room 205, Salem, Oregon
97301, in a sealed envelope plainly marked "BID ON
MADRONA LOOP WATER M A IN .” and the name
and address of the bidder.
A surety bond, cashier's check or certified check of
the bidder, made payable to the City of Salem, in the
amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid must accom­
pany each bid as secunty. Bid security of all save the
thiee lowest bidders will be returned following the
bid opening all bid secunty will be refunded upon
execution of the contract by the successful bidder
No bid will be received or considered by the City of
Salem unless the bid contains a statement by the
bidder the provisions of ORS 279.350 shall be in­
cluded in his contract.
The attention of bidders is directed to the provisions
of Chapter 97, Salem Revised Code, concerning un
lawful employment practices Violation of such pro­
visions shall be grounds for immediate termination of
this contract without recourse by the contractor
inquiries concerning the contents of the bid specifi
cations should be directed to Rick Burke, Project
