mechanii al work consists ol labor and material considerations to
provide a new heal pump application for one ol three redeveloped
HVAC lo n e * and replacing and or modifying the t in t in g HVAC

the HAP Maintenance Office located at 8910 N Woolsey Avenue
Portland Oregon. 97703. upon receip' ol deposit in the amount ol »15
which is refundable Documents must be returned to HAP in good
condition withm ten days after bid opening in order to receive refund
of deposit Additional sets may be acquired for »10 which is NOT
REFUNDABLE
A HAP representative will conduct a tour ot the job site commencing
at 10 00 a m Wednesday. January 15. 1986 and the attendance of all
bidders is requested Questions posed at that time regarding the
prop*« t that are not addressed irjjjwi specifications will be answered
by addenda and provided to all bidders by mail
No bid will be considered unless accompanied by Bid Security in the
form of r ettified check, cashier s check or surety bond payable to the
Housing Authority of Portland in an amount equal to 10% of the bid
to be forfeited as fised and liquidated damages should the bidder
neglect or refuse to enter into a contract or provide suitable bond for
the faithful performance of the work in the event the contract is »war
ded
A minimum of 70% MBE participation in the esecution of this protect
IS a HAP requirement and the methods the bidder proposes in com
plying with this requirement is subtect to HAP review and approval
prior to initiating the contract

The Portland Development Commission will receive sealed bids for
Fix A Bloch Rehabilitation Program until 2 0 0 p m Pacific Standard
Time on the 20th of February 1986 at 1120 S W 5th Avenue. Por
land Oregon 97204 1968 Room 1102. at which time and place all bids
will be publicly opened and read aloud
Contract documents including drawings and specifications are on file
at the office of the Portland Development Commission at 1120 S W
5th Avenue Portland. Oregon
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Portland
Development Commission, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the
bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent
(10% I of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid
Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must ensure that
employees and applicants for em ploym ent are not discriminated
against becuase of their race, color, religion, sex. or national origin
and that the contractor must comply with federal regulations as set
forth in the contract documents
This project requires that bidders solicit minority and female business
participation on the project The goals are 10% minority business and
2% female business enterprise participation
No bidrler may withdraw bid after the hour set for the opening thereof
until after the lapse of srsty 1601 days from the ted opening
The Portland Development Commission reserves the right to reject
any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding
The Housing Authority of Portland may retect any bid not in com
pliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and
may reiect any or all bid*, and waive all inform alities if in the
ludgement of HAP it is in the public interest to do so Questions

Bids may be held by the Portland Development Commission for a
period not to exceed ninety <901 calendar days from the date of the
opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the
qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract
