C a m p . The week o f June 24, 1985
w ill be long rem em bered by every
k id that attended the session. In
fa c t, i t ’ s a week tha t I w ill rem em ber
fo n d ly . I had a feeling o f pride in
m y chest th a t ca n n o t be translated
th ro u g h the w n fte n w o rd . I o b ­
served a b o n d being established be­
tween you ng and o ld th ro u g h the
game o f b a sketba ll.
T o n y H o p s o n and Ray Leary
a re n 't in to title s , they s im p ly care
and w a nt to help. These tw o b ro th ­
ers are the arch itects o f this cam p
and are the g u id in g forces be hind a
s ta ff o f dedicated and talented a th ­
letes w h o are try in g to give it back.

ba sketba ll s k ills seems to be a bridge
th a t allow s the s ta ff access to these
yo u n g m inds th a t lay behind expres­
sionless faces. The kids recognized
the faces o f L io n e l H o llin s and
m a rk R a d fo rd b u t they d id n 't know
how these men fe lt about them as
hu m an beings u n til the A lb in a M in ­
is te ria l A llia n c e p ro vid e d the fo ru m .

names w ith six fig u re co n tra cts, they
a ttra cte d a s ta ff th a t cares. H o w a rd
